SEAT Leon continues its winning ways with Carbuyer

For the second year in a row, the SEAT Leon has claimed the 'Best Family Car' award from car review site, Carbuyer. Now in its fourth year, the popular site has altered its awards process, basing it on what its site visitors search for and the top 20 questions they ask. With a Carbuyer rating of 4.8 out of 5, the Spanish brand's best-selling model was always going to be in the running for top honours in arguably the most fiercely contested car category.

Commenting on the Leon's latest trophy, Carbuyer's Editor, Stuart Milne, said, "Behind those handsome looks lies a car with a big boot and room for five. Despite featuring plenty of cutting-edge equipment, the Leon still represents exceptional value for money."

SEAT UK's Director, Neil Williamson, added, "The Leon just keeps delivering for us. With a combination of stylish looks, affordable running costs, impressive practicality and great technology, its won countless media tests and plenty of fans. Picking up this latest award from Carbuyer is another great endorsement for our best-seller."

The Leon line-up has recently widened even further with the addition of two derivatives for its ST (Sports Tourer) bodystyle, the all-road X-PERIENCE and hot CUPRA 280. The former offering a premium feel and permanently available four-wheel-drive, allied to 2.0-litre TDI 150 and 184 PS engines. The latter combines a scintillating 2.0-litre TSI 280 PS powerplant, propelling it from 0-62 mph in just six seconds (with DSG), with a load space of up to 1,470 litres. Prices for each start from £24,385 and £28,505 respectively.

Carbuyer receives more than 1.4m unique users a month, viewing more than 5.5m pages. Its YouTube channel also boasts more than 282,000 subscribers and 118m video views to date.
