WJ King boost for the Charlton Athletic Community Trust Disability Programme

Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) recently received a kind donation of £2160 from the Barclays Partner Finance 'Drive for Good' programme after WJ King nominated CACT as their chosen charity.

WJ King, one of the fastest growing dealer groups in the South East and Kent who operate six franchises from 12 locations, have been Motability Partners of CACT for the last 5 years and nominating the charity demonstrates the continued partnership between the two organisations.

The Barclays Partner Finance ‘Drive for Good’ programme is a fantastic initiative that helps dealers such as ourselves to support local and national charities of our choice,” explained Jeff Conway, Group Sales Manager at WJ King.

Jeff continued; “Barclays donate a small amount for each car financed through them in October and November each year to help put something back into the community. In view of our close working relationship and our status as ‘Motability Partners’, we chose The Charlton Upbeats, the award-winning Down’s syndrome programme delivered by Charlton Athletic Community Trust''.

Jeff concluded by adding; “we are obviously delighted that The Upbeats, a programme that is entirely dependent on fundraising, has been able to benefit from our excellent relationship with our friends at Barclays Partner Finance.”

Head of Disability and Mental Health at CACT, Carl Krauhaus, thanked both Barclays Partner Finance and particularly WJ King for their on-going support.

“This generous donation from Barclays Partner Finance is much appreciated and will support us to continue delivering important initiatives to both young people and adults. We are incredibly grateful that WJ King would pick us and specifically, the Disability and Mental Health strand at CACT, to receive this funding. They have been integral to our programme over the years and this latest gesture shows their generosity and commitment to the charity.”
