SEAT has unveiled a new all-electric version of its Mii city car.

The new model will replace the existing petrol-powered Mii, which will go out of production in July.

The Mii Electric - Seat's first production all-electric car - features an 83hp motor and a 38.8kWh battery with DC fast charging capability.

According to provisional figures released by Seat, the model will offer a driving range of up to 161.5 miles on the WLTP test cycle.

Compared with the outgoing petrol car, cosmetic changes are subtle. The Mii Electric gains: 16in alloy wheels, a new dashboard, ambient lighting, heated sports seats and a black leather steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake.

Other standard equipment includes LED daytime running lights, cruise control, rear parking sensors, lane assist and traffic sign recognition.

The Mii Electric will also feature integration with the Seat Connect smartphone app, allowing drivers to check driving data, see the car's parking position, view the status of the doors and lights, and control the air conditioning.

Prices for the Mii Electric will be announced in the autumn. Production will start in the fourth quarter of this year, with the first deliveries in the first quarter of 2020.
